For a city rooted in culture, creativity, and musical legacy, TRNSCND Festival was born from a simple question: what does the community need right now?
TRNSCND is a collective of creators, producers, and community-minded organizers who believe New Orleans is long overdue for a festival that brings people together across genres, backgrounds, and creative disciplines. Rather than chasing nostalgia or recreating past festivals, TRNSCND is focused on building something forward-thinking — inspired by New Orleans’ history, but not defined by it.
The festival is intentionally multi-genre, blending electronic, hip-hop, funk, downtempo, hick-hop, and experimental sounds so that everyone feels represented. TRNSCND isn’t about fitting into one scene — it’s about creating space for all of them to exist together.
As temperatures rise across New Orleans, The Maidstone is stepping into summer mode with a full-day pool party centered around house music, disco grooves, and laid-back daytime energy.
On Saturday, May 30, Fever 54 takes over the Mid-City boutique hotel with an eight-hour event headlined by The Sponges, the high-energy dance music duo known for funky house rhythms, playful stage presence, and crowd-driven party sets.
Hosted poolside at The Maidstone, located at 3522 Tulane Avenue, the event transforms the hotel into an all-day social space built around music, swimming, cocktails, and summer movement. The venue’s boutique hotel layout, outdoor lounge areas, and pool-centered setup give the event a more intimate feel compared to traditional club environments, leaning into a daytime experience designed for both dancing and relaxing.
Support throughout the day comes from DJ Hndrcks, Virtue Signal, and Cousin Tony, helping shape the soundtrack from early afternoon into sunset.
With pool parties continuing to expand across New Orleans dance culture, Fever 54 positions itself somewhere between a day party, hotel takeover, and summer house music session, bringing together local crowds, traveling fans, and open-air dance energy in one of the city’s more unique outdoor settings.
