Birthdays hit differently when the dance floor becomes a reflection of your journey. For Sunnie, this celebration was more than a party. It was a moment of alignment.
Known for her infectious energy, community-forward mindset, and unmistakable neon-green presence, Sunnie’s birthday set transformed the night into something deeper than celebration. It became proof of growth, connection, and confidence earned over time.
We caught up with Sunnie to talk about what this night meant, how she reads a room, and what she’s calling in for the year ahead.
NOLA EDM: For people celebrating you for the first time — who is Sunnie?
How would you describe your sound, your energy, and what you bring to the dance floor?
Sunnie: I am a community builder and someone who uplifts the people around me. I do my best to share my love for music through my craft. I always strive to bring the energy out of everyone even the most timid party goers.
NOLA EDM: Birthdays and shows hit differently. What did this birthday celebration mean to you as an artist, and how did the crowd’s energy shape the night?
Sunnie: This birthday is me officially entering in the 27 club. A club that makes or breaks alot of aspiring stars and stars alike. This show is proof of my growth as a artist and person. All my close friend are gonna have a hand in turning the crypt into a toxic rave containment center.
NOLA EDM: Every year marks a new chapter. What lessons from the past year are you carrying forward into this next one
Sunnie: I’ve learned to follow what makes you happy, not what is expected. Happiness looks different on everyone and its a choice everyday you can make and i will strive to continue to choose that for myself this year and many to come.
NOLA EDM: When you’re behind the decks on a night like this,how do you know the crowd is really locked in and sharing the moment with you?
Sunnie: I can tell the crowd is locked in when i see them singing right along with me and when i can control myself and start dancing they do too. Its synchronicity and happens when you don’t look for it.
NOLA EDM: Looking ahead — what are you calling in for this next year?
Sunnie: I plan to really raine in my own partys and curating skills and will take my brand and brands i work closely with out of state and push my neon green energy everywhere.
