SadieFest SoiRAVEE Returns with 36 DJs, Two Stages, and an All-Inclusive Rave Weekend at Colby’s Cocktails
Ladies of the SoiRAVE is proving once again that community is the heart of Louisiana’s underground dance scene. Returning to Colby’s Cocktails on July 31 and August 1, SadieFest SoiRAVEE has grown into its biggest edition yet with 36 DJs, two stages, flow artists, food trucks, vendors, art, kandi, and an atmosphere built around inclusivity rather than exclusivity.
What began as an all-female DJ showcase has evolved into a thriving collective that now welcomes a broader community while continuing to create opportunities for women and gender-diverse artists in electronic music. This year’s lineup stretches across Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and beyond, turning the weekend into a Gulf Coast reunion where longtime ravers, first-time attendees, performers, and creatives all share the same dance floor.
Ahead of this year’s event, we caught up with the Ladies of the SoiRAVE (@ladies.soirave) crew about how the collective began, why SadieFest continues to grow each year, and what keeps people returning to experience the community they’ve built.
NOLA EDM: For people discovering Ladies of the SoiRAVE for the first time, what is this group, how did it come together, and what kind of space are you building through SadieFest SoiRAVE?
Ladies of the SoiRAVE: We first came together to throw an all-female DJ show just to do it. We’re badass like that. This industry, and entertainment in general, can be quite difficult for us but we don’t face as many obstacles doing it ourselves. Names were thrown around and Ladies Soiree became Ladies SoiRave. It was later expanded to Ladies+ to be more inclusive. The SoiRave name has since been used for other shows that include our favorite guys on the lineup, with SadieFest SoiRave being one of them.
NOLA EDM: SadieFest SoiRAVE is returning as a two-night, multi-genre weekend at Colby’s Cocktails with two stages, 36 plus DJs, vendors, flow artists, and more. What inspired you to build this event on that kind of scale?
Ladies of the SoiRAVE: The annual SadieFest SoiRave just keeps getting bigger every year and we always love having flow artists and other creatives as part of the experience.
NOLA EDM: The lineup stretches across Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida, which gives the weekend a strong regional feel. What was important to you when curating a bill that brings so many different artists and scenes into one event?
Ladies of the SoiRAVE : Despite spanning the gulf coast and beyond, we are a close community and love getting to see each other at these events. Sometimes being booked for a show is the catalyst needed to break away from the daily routine and have some fun.
NOLA EDM: This year’s SoiRAVE also doubles as a birthday celebration for SABR, Strut, The Jezereck, ezwynn, Brian Knight, and Sabien Lyons. How does that personal layer shape the energy and intention behind the weekend?
Ladies of the SoiRAVE: Birthdays are just another excuse to have fun!
NOLA EDM: The event moves across multiple genres and welcomes everyone from longtime ravers to newer dance floor communities. How do you approach building a space that feels inclusive without losing the raw energy that makes a rave memorable?
Ladies of the SoiRAVE: Raves are built on inclusivity and we want everyone to feel welcome because that is a big part of the experience. Good times will be had and memories will be made. The energy is always there.
SoiRavers often tell us how much they loved the vibe and really needed the experience after our events so we must be doing something right!
NOLA EDM: You describe the event as all inclusive and emphasize that everyone is welcome regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, age, or ability. What does creating that kind of environment look like in practice once people are actually in the room?
Ladies of the SoiRAVE: That statement lets attendees know what to expect—this is a safe space where everyone is welcome and differences are celebrated.
That statement also lets attendees know what is expected of them—come with an open heart and an open mind so we rarely have issues.
NOLA EDM: With two nights running from 9 PM to 6 AM, this feels like more than just a party. It feels like a full weekend experience. What kind of journey are you hoping people go on from Friday night through the end of Saturday?
Ladies of the SoiRAVE: We hope everyone has a magical journey, filled with love, light, and music and please remember to hydrate and rest as needed.
NOLA EDM: Colby’s Cocktails in Metairie is the setting for this year’s event. What made that venue the right fit for SadieFest SoiRAVE, especially with two stages and such a wide range of music and people coming together?
Ladies of the SoiRAVE: Several Ladies SoiRave DJs play at Colby’s on a regular basis with Shiny Side Down Entertainment and Seauxl Tribe Collective so it just became the right fit this year.
NOLA EDM: The details mention flow artists, food trucks, art and merch vendors, a kandi bar, and possible open decks. Why was it important for SoiRAVE to feel like a full rave ecosystem instead of just a lineup on a flyer?
Ladies of the SoiRAVE: We are more than just a lineup. We are a community. We are all headliners. We are all SoiRavers.
NOLA EDM: Looking ahead through the rest of 2026, what parties, collaborations, or bigger moves should people keep an eye out for from the Ladies of the SoiRAVE crew?
Ladies of the SoiRAVE: We are always working on something. Follow @ladies.soirave on Instagram and Facebook for announcements. Also be on the lookout for Revival 2027 next spring!
