Area34 is a community-driven electronic music collective based on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, formed to cultivate a scene where one scarcely existed. Founded by Jezereck, Hiyote, Peauxboi, and Gargoyle MODE after their first event in December 2023, Area34 was built to spotlight the region’s overlooked depth of talent, both on stage and behind the scenes while keeping events inclusive, affordable, and often free.
Rooted in sound system culture and inspired by globally recognized, highly curated festivals, Area34 focuses on immersive, multi-stage experiences that blend electronic music with intentional sound design, visual art, performance, and environmental storytelling. Our events are shaped by a strong DIY ethos, with artists, technicians, and attendees alike contributing to setup, teardown, and the overall atmosphere.
Guided by the values of PLUR and their core philosophy of “Making Our Dreams Evident,” Area34 sees itself as both a platform and a community curating not just lineups, but energy, flow, and shared experience.
