Founded in New Orleans by Brian “Riffs for Life” Lorio, Local Riffs is a homegrown collective dedicated to uplifting the musicians, artists, and crews who fuel the city’s diverse scene. What started as a podcast interviewing local bands and producers has evolved into a movement — one that connects metalheads, ravers, and hip-hop fans under one banner of love for live performance and creative collaboration.

Rooted in the idea that every “riff” — musical or metaphorical — tells the story of New Orleans’ soul, Local Riffs celebrates every corner of the city’s music culture. From underground shows to festival stages, the crew documents, promotes, and supports those making the scene thrive.
