⚜️Club Chido brings MUNDIAL to NO DICE with global dance sounds, mixed cultures, and a night built for everyone in the room. ⚜️
For Club Chido, the mission is simple: building a global dance party that feels open, unpredictable, and fully alive. Their nights pull from perreo, dembow, hip hop, baile funk, bounce, dancehall, EDM, Jersey Club, bachata, and more, but the bigger idea is not just range for the sake of range. It is about creating a room where people from different backgrounds, tastes, and cultures can all find something that pulls them in.
We caught up with Club Chido (@club.chido) ahead of MUNDIAL at NO DICE as the party continues building a lane rooted in global dance sounds, mixed cultures, and crowd-first energy in New Orleans nightlife.
NOLA EDM: For people discovering Club Chido for the first time, what is Club Chido, how did it come together, and what kind of space are you building in New Orleans?
Tell us about your background, how this project evolved, and where your sound lives within heavier bass music.
Siisko: For First Timers, It is a Global Dance Party. We are playing all kinds of different music, in different languages and just a celebration of dance music from all parts of the world.
NOLA EDM: Club Chido’s nights pull from Perreo, Dembow, Hip Hop, Baile Funk, Bounce, Dancehall, EDM, Jersey Club, Bachata, and more. What made it important for you to build something that moves across so many sounds instead of staying in one lane?
Siisko: I grew a lot of inspiration from multiple different parties from bigger cities that are doing the same. I just love all kinds of music and that expression runs through Club Chido. From all the djs we all put it in a lot of hours to have all these styles seamlessly blend together.
NOLA EDM: A lot of parties say they are for everyone, but not all of them actually feel that way in the room. What do you think makes a Club Chido night feel distinct once people are there in person?
Siisko: We play music for everyone in the room, sometimes it is something you want, sometimes it is something you are missing or sometimes it is something you need. This party series truly is for everyone and anyone. There’s no discrimination. The night could start with R&B and/or dancehall then tilt over its head later into the night into Techno, Merengue, Juke, Bounce or Bouyon. We could be dancing to salsa and house, you just never know what to expect.
NOLA EDM: Your upcoming MUNDIAL night at NO DICE on Saturday, June 27 brings together Gabriela, Siisko, and Jamil for a lineup that already suggests a lot of range. What inspired this booking, and what kind of energy were you trying to create with this combination of artists?
Siisko: Well for starters We really want to highlight more female/femme djs in the scene, and we saw Gabriela at Baile World and really loved the set she put on. She did her homework and really digged for some gems and even stuff I haven’t heard in years. We want to highlight also more or different styles of music and really push into more electronic sounds. I feel as Siisko and Jamil we have pushed the range in the last several shows to really see how far we could go. People really love Caribbean music and its high energy and that it really goes well with other genres we like to play. It’s all about how we introduce these genres to people as DJs. Late into the night people just love anything with a good beat behind it.
NOLA EDM: NO DICE has become one of those spaces where a night can feel intimate, loose, and highly intentional all at once. What made it the right venue for MUNDIAL?
Siisko: We have played there before for different events, so we are no strangers into this realm. We love the intimacy and we will be on the dancefloor with the crowd for this. The crowd is the party and we want to be apart of it rather than be on stage and thats what we always remember/notice about No Dice. the energy is always unmatched, especially if the DJ is on the floor.
NOLA EDM: How do you see your role in the current New Orleans scene?
Siisko: Definitely someone pushing the boundaries and blending cultures and bringing very different mixed crowds into one room, bringing people together. Even bringing new people who don’t really go out to this side of new orleans and get to experience something raw and real. Exposing new people to a different type of nightlife. I do feel what I am doing is different because I can cater to different cultures especially as a multicultural person with Central American parents and being born and raised in New Orleans. It has been a blessing to be able to experience different cultures simultaneously, it was the perfect blend.
NOLA EDM: Looking ahead through the rest of 2026, what parties, collaborations, or bigger plans should people keep an eye out for from Club Chido?
Siisko: We definitely have some collaborations in the works for this year that we want to keep a surprise. We haven’t collabed with anyone just yet but we definitely want to and make sure it’s something that makes sense for both parties. We definitely have a lot of new music coming out soon, and keep an eye out for August and September. We have some big plans to bring artists/djs that have the same vision we do with latin raves and global bass sounds.
NOLA EDM: Anything you want the New Orleans dance community to know before MUNDIAL at NO DICE on June 27?
Siisko: This event is for everyone and anyone. All flags are welcome, represent your countries, colors flags, even if they aren’t in the World Cup, come represent. WE WILL HAVE THE COLOMBIA GAME PLAYING AT 9PM BEFORE WE KICKOFF THE PARTY.
